let's get it
I chose the name HERENORTH many years ago, born out of an obsession with the Greater North that began when I was ten and read a book about a girl getting lost in the snowy Alaskan tundra, living with a pack of wolves. Growing up in a woodsy area of New Jersey, I always felt a pull towards nature, trees and the changing seasons more commonly found and recognized in the North, which ultimately sparked an intrigue in the deeper, internal meaning of finding the anchor within you that will guide you in the way that not only feels just right, but IS right. The anchor, the guide, the compass that represents THE REAL YOU, come hail or high water.
That is the driving force behind my work; I want your photos to represent the real you in the "little moments" and the big ones too. Whether this means working with a tricky timeline to make the most of the day, discretely passing you a tissue when you're overcome with emotion, talking down an in-law when you just "can't even" anymore, or escaping for a few sunset shots amidst the trees against the MC's wishes, I will give you photos you love.
