Whoa, nelly, it’s been a long while since I’ve written a blog post about a wedding. This wedding was especially *special* for me because a long-time friend of mine named Anthony (formerly from the East Coast) found his love Brittany on the West Coast and they made it officially offish in a beautifully intimate wedding in Kitsap Memorial State Park. I had been jonesing for awhile to get a wedding in the Pacific Northwest, and my wish was granted- I not only got to cover their woodsy wedding, but we also traveled all up in the Olympic National Park the very next day to get some fabulously spectacular photos as their Day After Session. Although I didn’t create this idea nor coin the term, it was my first time getting to shoot a Day After Session and I’ll tell you, I’d love to do it more often. I met with the couple around noon time, drove two hours to some epic spots with amazing backdrops, and then had an amazingly super chill dinner to end the day. By the next morning, the happy couple was off to their honeymoon.
Every DIY aspect came together magically to create a wedding for the books! And I truly hope this Washington wedding won’t be my last, but at least I can cross it off my bucket list for now!
