Like no other time before now, the wedding planning lexicon has grown:



It’s not that these terms didn’t exist before, but rather more couples planning their wedding have become very familiarized with the concepts in this current post-pandemic era. 
 
So what’s the difference between each one and what does it look like when it comes to hiring HERENORTH?

Micro and intimate weddings run more like a traditional wedding day, but with the guest list paired down- typically to 30 guests or less for a true micro wedding experience, or under 75 guests for an intimate wedding. The bridal party- if there is any- is smaller, and the wedding sometimes involves less vendors than a traditional wedding. Some couples opt to go this route to save on cost in some areas while splurging on other areas that mean more to them. 

When it comes to your photographs, the standard parts of the day are covered: portraits, ceremony and reception coverage. This could mean anywhere from 6 to 7 hours with just one photographer (yours truly, unless you'd like to add a second photographer). 

MINIMONY

This type of wedding coverage is focused on the commitment/ceremony shared with those near and dear to you the most. It typically includes 12 guests or less, no bridal party and the focus for photos falls on the ceremony, a handful of family formals, and portraits of the newlyweds. The coverage for this is typically 2-4 hours with one photographer.

ELOPEMENT

Best known for being done in secret (but not always), this bare-bones approach lets you focus on what matters most: your love! No guests attend- it’s just the couple (you!), an officiant, a witness and a photographer. Coverage for this can range anywhere from 1 to 2 hours with one photographer.
